On the sidelines of the fourth Trade Fair intra-African (IATF 2025), organized by Afreximbank at Algiers, a strategic agreement was signed between the African Bank import-export (Afreximbank) and shelter Africa development bank. The signature was done on Tuesday, September 9, 2025.

The agreement signed in Algiers provides for the financing of preparation and development of projects in construction, hotels and logistics in Africa. It aims to raise at least $1 billion for invest in housing and urban development in Africa. The financing will be used to prepare and develop projects in several sectors, in particular, housing, buildings, commercial and residential infrastructures, hotels, industry, logistics and special economic zones. The objective is to train experts who can transform project ideas into bankable initiatives, i.e. financed by investors.
