The Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) and the Office of Integrity and Anti-Corruption (OPCW) signed a revised Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) yesterday, Thursday 26 October 2023.

The signing of the MoU is in line with the aim of updating and improving regional collaboration in the fight against corruption, financial crime and money laundering. According to the director general of the Anti-Corruption Commission Navin Beekarry, the revised MoU offers an opportunity for ICAC to continue to work in collaboration with the ADB. According to the latter, the two organizations had already signed a memorandum of understanding in 2013, but due to technological advances and other changes around the world, it was necessary to update activities and other forms of collaboration that did not exist 10 years ago

Ce protocole révisé prévoit collaboration in the area of investigations, in addition to covering the prevention aspect and procedures that need to be strengthened.
