A day of discussions on measures to combat money laundering and terrorist financing with a view to strengthening the partnership public-private in their implementation in the region. This is the purpose of the Advisory Forum that the Intergovernmental Action Group against Money Laundering in West Africa (GIABA ) is organizing on 26 November next at the Palm Beach Hotel, in Saly, Senegal. With the theme “Cooperation and collaboration in the implementation of AML/CFT measures in the Member States of GIABA ”, this forum aims to mobilize support for the development of public-private partnerships (PPPs) in the Member States in order to fight economic crime more effectively.

The forum is aimed at heads of operations of criminal investigation and prosecution agencies responsible for investigating money laundering and terrorist financing (BC/FT), directors in charge of supervision and the anti-money laundering and terrorist financing (AML/CFT) compliance of regulatory authorities, heads of Financial Intelligence Units, members of the Executive Board of the Forum of Compliance Officers of the Member States and certain important private sector operators.
