The stock that until then attracted investors seems to be approaching its equilibrium level on the BRVM.
After posting several sessions up 7% during the month of May, the Nestlé Côte d'Ivoire value took a break in June, with a weaker evolution. It slowed its progress during the month of June on the Regional Stock Exchange (BRVM), with an increase of 5.8%. In May, it had achieved an evolution of 233.3%, its best monthly performance since 2016, according to market data collected by the Ecofin Agency. For investors who acquired the stock in April 2020 and kept it, they multiplied their stake by 17.14.
Despite the slowdown, the title still has room for improvement. For its first dividend in five years, the company plans to distribute the sum of 363.3 CFA francs per share. At the current share price, this represents a return of 10%, a level of remuneration above the market average. The enthusiasm for the stock has been pronounced, after the company announced that it had achieved for 2020 a net profit of 20.9 billion FCFA ($37.8 million), up 700% compared to that of 2019.
