After the Chilean mining group Antofagasta and a Chinese foundry have agreed on zero processing fees for the 2026 copper concentrate, the copper course a progressed on Monday.

The most active copper contract on the stock exchange Shanghai futures rose by 1.36% to 93,980 yuan (13,348.48 dollars) per metric ton at 01:45 GMT.

The reference price for copper at three months on the London Futures Exchange also rose by 0.33% to 11,920.5 dollars per ton.

Among the other base metals of SHFE, nickel has increased for the fourth consecutive session, up 2.48% at 118,860 yuan per ton after reaching a peak of more than a month at 119,480 yuan.

The reference price for nickel in London has also increased, by 1.13%, to 14,970 dollars per ton.

The rise in nickel continued to benefit from a support after the Indonesian Miners' Association, the largest country nickel producer, said last week that the country would reduce drastically its mining production in 2026.

In Shanghai, aluminum increased by 0.79%, the 0.20% zinc, 0.50% lead and 0.75% tin.

Among the other metals of LME, aluminum increased slightly by 0.17%, zinc by 0.15%, lead increased by 0.17% fell by 0.25% and tin by 0.19%
