The actors of the mining industry were informed in a statement by the Minister in charge of Mines, Yacouba Zabré Gouba, about the suspension of the authorization to export gold and other precious substances from artisanal and semi-mechanized production. According to the minister, “this suspension follows the need to clean up the (mining) sector and reflects the government's desire to better organize the marketing of gold and other precious substances”.
