The West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU) has launched a call for applications for the first short-term training session. professionals in the sector.

The program was initiated due to housing and land issues in West Africa. It is being developed as part of its project to create a Centre of Excellence for Housing (CEH). The training is intended for nationals of WAEMU countries (Benin, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Guinea-Bissau, Mali, Niger, Senegal and Togo). These must be professionals in the housing sector (architects, urban planners, civil engineers, surveyors, notaries, real estate experts, geographers, etc.), real estate developers or any other person wishing to create a real estate development company, executives of the public administration and the private sector involved in the housing sector, housing and urban land management.

The training will be held in face-to-face session from 20 to 25 June 2022 in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. It will focus on the set-up, financing, jurisdiction and security of real estate projects.
