Last Wednesday, a consultation was launched by the General Tax Directorate in collaboration with representatives of banks in the interior of the country. These are the Central Bank of Mauritania and the public treasury.

This consultation has been launched in connection with the digital platform for declaration and remote payment in the field of taxes. It is also a meeting that will make it possible to present the level of progress of the project to the various stakeholders, namely the central bank, primary banks and the public treasury.

The development and validation of a consensual roadmap is planned at the end of discussions on technical and legal concerns. The digitization of data, the reconciliation of the administration, the acceleration of measures relating to its transactions, as part of a plan to improve the business climate, including the facilitation of the various measures, their accurate presentation and fluidity are the areas of intervention planned by this platform.

It will facilitate the remote declaration of data relating to the determination of tax duties to be paid, whether for sales volume or baby margins filaries/any other data relating to activities that may be of interest to the tax authorities. According to Yahya Ould Sadvi, the establishment of this platform requires solid consultation with all parties concerned with remote payment, such as the central bank, primary banks and the public treasury.
