This is the end of a trial that has kept public opinion in suspense. Because of the sulphurous revelations and truths about political corruption practices, the so-called Tliba case has made headlines.

Thus, the court of Sidi M'Hamed delivered this Wednesday its verdict  in the case of the  deputy of Annaba, Baha Eddine Tliba, sentenced "for money laundering" and "violation of the law and regulations", to eight (08) years in prison and the seizure of all his property.

El Ouafi Ould Abbès, son of former FLN Secretary General Djamel Ould Abbès, is sentenced to 20 years in prison and  eight (08) million fines, in addition to the confirmation of the international arrest warrant for "money laundering".

The second son of Djamel Ould Abbès, Skander, is sentenced for his part to eight (08) in prison, while Bouchnak Khalladi, coordinator of the electoral lists for the 2017 legislative elections in the  FLN, receives two (02) years in prison and a fine of 200,000 dinars.

Habchi Ahmed, land commissioner, was acquitted by the Sidi Mhamed court  .

As a reminder, the court had requested, on September 2, a sentence of ten years (10) in prison  and 8 million fine against the deputy of Annaba who had pleaded not guilty, explaining before the court that he had, on the contrary, denounced the corruption in a letter given to General Tartag, then coordinator of the security services.

It was Tliba who revealed that MP seats were sold for more than seven billion cents. A scale has even been set according to the ranking in the lists of candidates.
