A scientific symposium on the prevention of tax fraud has been underway since this morning at the Cotonou Convention Centre. It is organized with the partnership of the Center for Studies and Research on Finance Administration (CERAF) and the West Africa Society of Public Finances (SoAFIP) with the Directorate General of Taxes (DGI) of Benin

The scientific symposium on the prevention of tax fraud, which will end tomorrow, Friday, October 13, 2023, is fundamentally aimed at revisiting key concepts related to tax fraud. The activities involve a critical review of tax evasion practices and the consideration of new requirements. It will also be an opportunity to take stock of the situation and outline ways to improve the legal framework for the fight against tax fraud, the practices and mechanisms for collecting certain taxes, and the commitment of taxpayers for fair, simple and cost-effective taxation.
