Eni (ENI.MI) and its project partners Offshore Cape Three Points (OCTP) have signed a memorandum of intent with the Ghanaian government in order to boost oil and gas production in countries, while implementing new sustainable initiatives.

The Italian energy group, alongside its Dutch partner Vitol and Ghana National Petroleum Corp., assess an integrated investment plan that could include increasing of the production capacity of their OCTP oil and gas project in Ghana.

The partners also plan to examine new exploration activities as well as the potential development of Eban-Akoma field located in the Cape Three Points block 4, which is on the way to becoming a major source of supply since the declaration of its commercialization in July.
