October 31, 2022 marked the start of a two-week supervision mission in Côte d'Ivoire. The activity is launched as part of the review of the Government Social Programme Support Project (PA-PSGOUV) of the African Development Bank (AfDB).

Evaluating the progress of the project, achievements and removing obstacles, are among others the objectives of this mission. Indeed, on the occasion of the opening meeting of this ADB supervision mission, the Director of the Prime Minister's Office, Karim Traoré, emphasized the need to put specific emphasis on road maintenance and youth employment in the range of projects to be examined.

He also highlighted road maintenance and youth employment aspects among the range of projects to be examined, not forgetting to mention the electrification of the 16% of villages not yet connected to the national electricity grid. He also recalled that the total of Psgouv's achievements during the first three quarters of the year 2022 was 250.3 billion FCFA against cumulative actual allocations of 477.2 billion FCFA, representing a commitment rate of 52.45%.

The supervision mission should lead to the preparation of a checklist that will be presented by the Chairman of the PA-PSGOUV Steering Committee at the next governmental seminar.
