A press release published last Monday mentions that the African Development Bank (AfDB) announced the mobilization of USD 269 million in financing for Morocco. We are talking about the implementation of the highway project that will connect the port of Nador under construction to the national road network

L'autoroute Guercif-Nador will be the main supply chain support infrastructure required for the Port of Nador's activities. Indeed, the financing granted by the AfDB will be used to build a 105-km road network between Guercif and Nador in order to improve the connectivity of the eastern region of the country and to allow the accessibility of the new port to stimulate traffic. The new port, which was initially announced to be operational in 2024, will make it possible, in its operational phase, to process 25 million tons of hydrocarbons, 7 million tons of solid bulk, 3 million tons of various goods and 3 million TEUs
