The African Development Bank has approved the loan financing of $303 million to contribute to the implementation of the 225 kV electrical interconnection project and the development of solar power plants.

Mali and Mauritania are among the countries in which universal access to electricity is not yet guaranteed. For this purpose, the ADB granted financing of 302.9 million dollars. The idea of this financing is to help these countries improve the situation with the implementation of the 225 kV Electrical Interconnection Project and the development of solar power plants.

Selon un communiqué, “l' appui The concession window of the African Development Bank Group (AfDB) includes $269.6 million for Mauritania and $33.3 million for Mali. The rest of the project's funding, at a cost of around $888 million, will be provided by other partners and climate funds.”
