About sixty bank agents have benefited from capacity building on the protection of personal data and compliance with the law on the protection of personal data. The graduation ceremony took place at the headquarters of the Association of Professionals of Banks and Financial Institutions of Côte d'Ivoire (APBEF-CI) on Wednesday, July 14, 2021.

According to Ismaël FANNY, Deputy Executive Director of APBEF-CI, the issue of the protection of personal data has become a major subject for all persons governed by private law and in particular for banking and financial institutions that process personal data staff of their customers, employees and suppliers. The management of this data highlights new issues related to the collection, processing, preservation, storage and destruction of traces left by any user of a digital device.

The president of APBEF-CI recalled the importance of this issue in the production systems of banking organizations. " The shift we are addressing, propels the questions that arise, from the point of view of our compliance with the issue of data protection & agrave; of a personal nature, which is a question referred for a preliminary ruling. In doing so, training dedicated to the issue of personal data that would allow the staff of APBEF-CI members to be sensitized, trained or simply reminded on the essential notions was necessary , "said the president of the APBEF-CI.
