A report by the Bank of Cape Verde (BCV) published on Monday reveals that banks and insurance companies based in Cape Verde returned a total amount of 102,000 euros to their customers last year. “This is the largest sum ever returned to financial consumers”, stressed the BCV, which recalls that in 2021 an envelope of 82,300 euros was
returned to customers.The refunds made in 2022 follow 287 complaints from financial consumers, 276 concerning the banking sector and 11 concerning the insurance sector.
