Togo and Côte d'Ivoire are the main exporters of transport services in the UEMOA region. Their service is mainly through their ports and their international ports.

A report on foreign product trade has been made public by the BCEAO. It is mentioned that within UEMOA, Togo and Côte d'Ivoire are the main providers in this segment. Indeed, as far as Togo is concerned, revenues from exports of transport services increased by 6% in 2021 compared to 2020, from 104 billion FCFA to 111.1 billion FCFA. Land and maritime transport related to port activities, the provision of services to shipowners and the (commercial) supply of landlocked UEMOA countries are dominated by revenue.

In reality, the two countries benefited from the reopening of borders, facilitating trade and leading to a 3.6% increase in transport revenues. The relative share of transport in total exports of services was 20.8% in 2021 compared to 23.1% in 2020, down by 2.3%.
