Information shared last Tuesday mentions that the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) has provided more than 21 billion CFA francs (about 34.94 million dollars) to support reconstruction and peace efforts in the English-speaking regions of Cameroon.

Cameroon is in the grip of prolonged attacks by armed separatists, and Prime Minister Joseph Dion Ngute therefore in an interview that the IDB's support is devoted to the Presidential Plan for the Reconstruction and Development of the North-West and South-West. In reality, this project, which is for a duration of three years, from December 2023 to December 2026, is intended to rebuild schools, hospitals and health centers, to supply drinking water, bridges and other community infrastructures.
