The Umoa-Titres agency is considering the implementation of "recovery bonds", to support the States of the Union in their efforts to resume economic activities. Thus, the eight member countries will benefit from refinancing for the post-Covid recovery. The regional financial market is preparing a new solution to initiate the post-Covid economic recovery of the eight countries of the Union. The Umoa-Titres agency, in collaboration with the Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO), is preparing to set up "recovery bonds" to support the States of the Union in their efforts to resume economic activities.
Indeed, the BCEAO will open a refinancing window called "Recovery Window" available to commercial banks. These "stimulus bonds" have a maturity of six months and an interest rate of 2%.
