The Agricultural Risk Management Platform organized a capacity building workshop on agricultural risk management in Burkina Faso from 12 to 16 September 2022 in Ouagadougou.

Drought, floods, poor rain repairs, strong winds, pests, fires, a security and health crisis are among others the risks faced by farmers. With the aim of helping actors to better deal with these risks, the PARM (Platform for Agricultural Risk Management) has initiated this workshop to train trainers on risk management using the holistic approach promoted by PARM. For five days, participants from universities, rural promotion centres, producer organizations, microfinance agencies and the Ministry of Agriculture were equipped with various modules.

The participants defined the agricultural risks most faced by producers in Burkina Faso and formulated solutions to address these risks.
