The Senegalese Prime Minister, Amadou Ba, said that the economic forum that ends today represents an important milestone in strengthening relations between the two nations. Highlighting the importance of the forum, Amadou Ba noted that “investment is the engine of economic growth, job creation and sustainable development.” For the latter, the Gambians and Senegalese must create a “business-friendly” environment, encourage innovation and support businesses in the two neighboring countries

According to Abdoulaye Baldé, the director general of APIX, “the potential that the two countries are brimming with is a major asset in winning market shares together within the framework of the ZLECAF (the African continental free trade area), which makes our continent a promising market, with the possibility of expanding our areas of production and trade”.
