Le 10 octobre 2023, la Africa50, a pan-African infrastructure investment platform, and the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA) have signed a historic agreement.

The collaboration between the two partners aims to strengthen regional infrastructure development by promoting and financing bankable projects in the UEMOA region. This agreement identifies three main areas for collaboration. These are the transport sector, with a particular focus on joint border posts, the Energy sector, and the information and communication technology sector. Under this agreement, Africa50 will identify and promote a strong portfolio of projects ready to be financed, with the aim of attracting additional capital for infrastructure projects in the UEMOA region.
