The African Centre of Excellence in Mathematical Sciences, Computer Science and Applications (Cea-Smia) held with its partners, an information and promotion meeting, Friday, May 14, in Cotonou. The center intends to provide companies in Benin and Africa with seasoned human resources.

To present its new training offers, Cea-Smia has placed particular emphasis on the Master in Data Science and on the digital revolution embodied by the supercomputer (Calcul Bénin). It is in the presence of representatives of local companies, the Industrial Advisory Council, the Club of Decision-Makers of Information Systems and some Alumni of the Institute of Mathematics and Physical Sciences ..., that the Africa Center of Excellence in Mathematical Sciences, Computer Science and Applications (Cea-Smia) shared the new training offers and skills it is developing.

Presenting the Master in Data Science and the supercomputer, Jules Dégila, professor-researcher at the University of Abomey-Calavi, explains that Data Science has many advantages in view of the digital revolution and the strong dynamic around digitalization. New technologies are imposed on companies and require them to adapt and integrate into an environment where data is valuable.
