In order to support the development of industries, the African Development Bank and the Ivorian government have launched a Project to Improve Services to Industries in Côte d'Ivoire (PASI-CI). The dynamics of industrialization are accelerating in Côte d'Ivoire, the leading economic power in the West African franc zone; PASI-CI is receiving a grant of US$357,500 from the Resources of the African Development Bank's Technical Assistance Fund for Middle-Income Countries.

The implementation period of the project is two years and should allow the Ivorian Ministry of Trade and Industry to have studies to guide public policies in terms of financing the industrial sector and the development of new sectors. The project will also contribute to the promotion of investments in Ivorian industry and the improvement of the business climate, through the provision of a new developed industrial land and the improvement of the management and performance of existing land.

The PASI-CI project provides for a feasibility study for the creation of the Industrial Development Fund, a technical study for the development of the industrial zone of Assouba-Aboisso (south-east of the country) as well as a monographic study of the existing industrial zones of San-Pedro (south-west). The Project to Improve Services to Industries in Côte d'Ivoire is intended to strengthen the partnership between the Ivorian Ministry of Industry and technical and financial partners, including the African Development Bank. It will promote the identification of projects and opportunities that can be supported.
