On the sidelines of the International Exhibition of Information Technology and Communication "SITIC AFRICA" held on May 30 and 31, 2022, the digital sector players have created the Pan-African Digital Alliance "AFRI'tech". The Memorandum of Understanding was signed Monday, May 30, 2022.

African organizations and business associations operating in the digital sector have signed a Memorandum of Understanding announcing the creation of the Pan-African Digital Alliance (Digital African Confederation) "AFRI'tech", and this in the Ivorian capital. According to a statement issued by UTICA, the signatories of this agreement are the Tunisian Federation of Digital (UTICA), GOTIC of Côte d'Ivoire, OPTIC of Senegal, REPTIC of Cameroon, and UTICA.negal, REPTIC Cameroon, CNPC Digital Algeria, ASIM Mali, GEM Madagascar, DDE Djibouti, and the ROPTIC of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU).

The protocol provides for the promotion of a long-term partnership between the digital private sector and innovative startup communities in Africa. It also provides for the launch of actions and events to promote the African digital sector at the regional and international levels, as well as concrete initiatives and projects at the pan-African level.
