During the last Council of Ministers of Guinea, the governor of the Central Bank indicated that banking interoperability is not in place during this year, which is nearing its end. Six banks are in production and the others are in progress. For this reason, the President of the Transition has given instructions so that banking interoperability will be effective by the end of 2024

At the beginning of July 2023, the authorities of the Central Bank had taken a measure requiring banks to connect to the digital interoperability platform of the Republic of Guinea. This connection should be made no later than 29 June 2023 for financial players with a mobile instant-payment platform and by 29 September 2023, for financial players with an electronic banking platform. According to the President of the Transitions, if banking interoperability is not effective in 2024, the necessary measures are taken for this purpose.
