The ADB informed on its website that it had financially contributed 38.4 million euros for the benefit of the emergency project to strengthen food production in Burkina Faso (Purpa-BF) (Purpa-BF), representing 99% of its overall cost. This project is part of the African Emergency Food Production Facility. Its objective is to contribute to the increase in the production of maize, rice, soybeans, soybeans, cowpeas, sorghum and wheat, in order to strengthen the food security of the Burkinabe populations
