Niger Air Force Chief of Staff Colonel Abdoul Kader Amirou was received by his Nigerien counterpart General Isiaka Oladayo Amao last December. The objective of this visit is to strengthen military cooperation.

During the working visit, the Chiefs of Staff discussed the capacity building of Niger Air Force officers, through continuous training at the Air Force Institute Technology (Afit) from Kaduna.
Colonel Abdoul Kader Amirou traveled to Maiduguri, a border area with the Diffa region which is the headquarters of the Nigerian Command, for the fight against the terrorist group Boko Haram. It should be noted that it is the bilateral military cooperation between Nigeria and Niger that has made it possible to repel incursions by Boko Haram.
