The general management of the Autonomous Port of Abidjan organized for 25 port security officers and the general management of maritime and port affairs, a training workshop organized from 24 to 28 January. This capacity building session focuses on the issue of port security.

Organized as part of the WeCAPS (West and Central Africa Port Security) project funded by the European Union and led by "Expertise France", the training focuses on the International Code for the Security of Ships and Port Facilities (Code Isps). This program aims to strengthen the protection of ports in West and Central Africa against risks, both in terms of security and safety. The aim of training is to make up for the lack of well-trained and highly qualified human resources.
