The Bank has granted a credit facility of 145 million dollars (141 million euros) to Silverbird Group to develop its African creative arts project in Lagos, which is scheduled over two years. According to the African Development Bank (AfDB), his support will help raise the potential $20 billion that the African arts economy should generate.
At the Africa Investment Forum organized by the African Development Bank in Abidjan in early November, the president of Afreximbank, Benedict Oramah, said that “Afreximbank defends the creative arts industry and committed $500 million to support creators. Here we are producing the infrastructure necessary for the creative sector.”
For him, the support of Afreximbank will allow creative actors to have access to world-class engineering expertise and facilities to improve the quality of their productions.
