Le jeudi 11 janvier dernier à The Hotel du 13 Février in Lomé, the operator Togocom, signed a financing agreement of 36 billion FCFA with the International Finance Corporation (IFC).

The funding agreement aims to support digital transformation and improved connectivity in the country. This facility of nearly 55 million euros will be allocated mainly to the modernization of Togocom's infrastructures, to the expansion of its 4G network, to the extension of its fiber optic network, as well as to the strengthening of its resilience, aimed at improving the quality and speed of the connection. The initiative is part of Togo's digital transformation strategy, which aims to achieve mobile and fixed Internet coverage for 95% of the population by 2025.
