The Electronic Communications and Postal Regulatory Authority (ARCEP BENIN) has published its 2022 activity report. This report consists of a review of the activities and projects carried out by the Authority and a review of the turnover of telephone operators.

The ARCEP BENIN report mentions that several events have marked the life of the electronic communications sector in Benin over the past year. These include the updating of the price framework for electronic communications services provided by mobile operators and the implementation of a guideline on national roaming in Benin. There is also the commercial launch of the activities of the 3rd mobile operator Sbin SA under the Celtiis brand and the launch of the Celtiis Cash mobile currency

Similarly, the Authority noted in its report an increase in the revenues of telephone operators as of 31 December 2022. According to the document, mobile telephony turnover is estimated at 324.548 billion CFA francs, an increase of 18.2% compared to 2021. It is shared by the three mobile operators present in Benin.
