The decision of the Senegalese authorities to suspend the mobile Internet is a reaction from the Rassemblement des companies in the information and communication technology sector. In the minister's press release, RESTIC “the Internet, especially mobile, is a working tool, the transmission of data via mobile is essential for any kind of transaction in economic activity, there is more transactional flow nowadays without internet”. The same source indicates that “RESTIC therefore invites the State and operators to consider other tools in order to preserve the economic and social rights of users. RESTIC thinks about the digital and digital ecosystem, which sees its supports and platforms forced to stop.”
