The director of market economy and foresight at the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Côte d'Ivoire (ARTCI, regulator) Guy Michel Kouakou, announced on the sidelines of a workshop organized by Huawei, that Côte d'Ivoire is actively preparing to deploy 5G technology.

Ocory Coast, which plans to commercially launch 5G by the middle of next year for the African Cup, will occupy a leading position in this field and it will be a key milestone in Côte d'Ivoire's journey to be West Africa's digital hub. Huawei is committed to closely supporting and collaborating with the Ministry of Communication and Digital Economy to offer its contribution to 5G and digital development in Côte d'Ivoire.
