A new agreement was reached last Friday, November 10, between American Tower Corporation operators in Africa (“ATC Africa”, or the “Company”), and MTN Nigeria. This agreement will improve wireless connectivity across Nigeria.

ATC Africa will provide new premises for MTN Nigeria over a multi-year period, starting in the second half of 2024. The company is committed to meeting MTN Nigeria's requirements by taking advantage of ATC Africa's extensive portfolio, which includes over 8,000 sites in Nigeria, a significant portion of which already incorporate green energy solutions. New sites are also planned to be deployed in accordance with the specifications of ATC Africa's green sites. According to Karl Toriola, CEO of MTN Nigeria, this agreement with ATC Africa paves the way for a new era of connectivity in Nigeria, which will meet not only the increasing demands of our customers, but also our commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility
