According to the Business Formalities Center (CFE). 7,195 new businesses were created in Togo between January and June 2022.

Of these companies, 6,092 are run by Togolese people and 1,103 by foreigners. And men seem to be doing more; 4,288 businesses versus 2,907 for women. In addition, 4,379 were declared by natural persons compared with 2,816 by legal persons. These new businesses are created in a context of relaunching economic activities after the health crisis linked to the Covid-19 pandemic, where the Togolese authorities are still promoting entrepreneurship, particularly in the processing of local products. Compared to last year's figures, over the same period, there was a slight drop of 1.5%.
