The General Directorate of Customs informed through its Communication and Public Relations Division that significant seizures of counterfeit medicines were made during the month of July.

382 million CFA francs worth of counterfeit medicines were seized during the month of July. Indeed, the largest seizure was carried out on 30 July last year as part of the strategy to detect and observe routes and flows of fraud in the center of the country, during which agents set up an ambush at the Ndiawo Bambali Bridge on the Kaymor-Kaffrine axis. The seizure was carried out by the Keur-Ayip Customs Commercial Brigade, Kaolack Subdivision, Central Customs Region. The equivalent value of medicines is estimated at 58 million CFA francs
