Indeed, there are no longer any buyers on the ground since these buyers, once numerous in Côte d'Ivoire, have all found themselves in Guinea (N'Zerekoré) where they have taken over warehouses. Thus, they buy the cocoa and cross the border with the load while paying customs duties at the border. Depending on the weight of the load, the costs of transporting the product vary from 2,100,000 FCFA to 7,200,000 FCFA. Cocoa can be bought at 1,150 FCFA /Kg at the border.
