In a statement released on February 2 on his digital platforms, Asky reminds its customers of the obligation to fulfill the customs declaration prior to boarding for all passengers at destination of Cameroon.

The presentation of a customs declaration Completed by telephone or in hard copy is required since the 1st February 2026 before the trip on Asky flights. Information has been announced by the pan-African airline. The procedure is done exclusively via the “Customs CMR” mobile application, available on Google Play Store and App Store. Once the declaration has been completed, it must be submitted on telephone or in printed version at the time of travel. Without this document digital, access to the plane may be refused.

This requirement is part of the reform initiated by the Cameroonian customs administration since January 1, 2024, date of official commissioning of the “Customs CMR” application. The objective is to abandon the paper forms distributed on board airplanes by airlines and to switch to procedures dematerialized.

Before disembarking at Douala airports and Yaoundé, the passenger downloads the application and fills out a questionnaire electronic: identity, passport number, flight, baggage, currency, goods transported. Once validated, the declaration generates a QR code stored in the phone.
