The American Chamber of Commerce in Cameroon (AmCham) organized on December 18, 2025 in Douala, a business lunch for present the opportunities opened up by the Continental Free Trade Area African (Zlecaf).

The purpose of the business lunch held last 18 is to help businesses transform this regional framework into opportunities and contracts. The ambition is to facilitate access to financial resources necessary to support business growth in a context of regional expansion.

Laure Djoukam, president of AmCham Cameroon has declared: “our mission is to provide our members relevant information to enable them to grow their businesses and to make more profits. The Zlecaf is a big opportunity that offers solutions to our businesses.” According to the latter, the opening of markets does not produce effects without an implementation strategy capable of lead to the signing of contracts and effective access to new markets. In this logic, AmCham relies on Africa Trade Gateway (ATG), a digital ecosystem for African private sector actors and designed as an entry point to key intra-African trade services.

According to Christophe Adnot, ATG consultant, this ecosystem — which includes several platforms (Mansa, Papps, Tradar Club, Atex, ATG Connect) — should enable businesses to develop their businesses commercial, to secure their financial transactions and to constitute a network of partners, whether funders or providers of services.

Noted that the ATG connects businesses with financial institutions offering financing solutions adapted to their needs: commercial loans, credit lines and guarantees.
