Le lundi 24 février 2025, s' est tenue une cérémonie de signature de protocole d' accord (MoU) entre the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones ( GAFI ) and the Zambia Development Agency (ZDA). The aim is to strengthen investment cooperation between the two countries.

The memorandum of understanding aims to deepen investment ties, facilitate business partnerships and promote investment opportunities between the two countries, according to a statement. Both parties will work to address the challenges facing investment flows and to support businesses looking to expand in Egypt or Zambia. The Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, Hassan El-Khatib, underlined Egypt's commitment to strengthening economic cooperation with Zambia, a key member of the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa

The agreement also includes exchanging investment information, organizing promotional events, and coordinating investment delegations.
