Lors du dernier Summit of Heads of State and Government of the AU held last February, the African Solidarity Fund (FSA), based in Niamey, Niger, obtained major recognition by obtaining Agency status Specialized by the African Union (AU).

With this new status, the FSA will be able to play a more important role in financing Development in Africa as part of the implementation of Agenda 2063. Under the leadership of Abdourahmane Diallo, the FSA is in the process of substantially strengthening its own funds, allowing it to increase its intervention capacity. The FSA's accreditation process as an AU Specialized Agency coincides with a series of significant developments for the institution. Indeed, the FSA has recently obtained an international financial rating that testifies to its stability and increased solvency
