La Banque africaine de développement (BAD) a donné son accord pour accompagner les Mediators of the Republic of the UEMOA zone in their Strategic Plan 2025-2029, in particular on Integration and ; regional, conflict prevention and peace.

A travers son bureau de coordination de regional integration, the ADB Group will work alongside the Association of Mediators of WAEMU Member Countries (AMP- UEMOA) for the implementation of its 2025-2029 strategic action plan. The Strategic Plan 2025-2029 is structured around five pillars in particular, governance and the rule of law, performance and partnerships, performance and partnerships, peace and security, peace and security, research, and institutional development and communication. This plan must be validated at a high-level round table on resource mobilization to be held in Dakar on 29 April. Thus, the Bank was asked to contribute to the success of the round table and to the mobilization of new partners and the resources needed to implement the plan

A l' occasion de la rencontre entre la BAD et l' Association des médiateurs des pays membres de l' Union économique et monétaire ouest-africaine (AMP-UEMOA), le président Pascal Essou, médiateur de la République du Bénin a déclaré: “notre Presence here has three objectives, which are as follows: to seek the support of the ADB as a privileged technical and financial partner in the implementation of the AMP- Strategic Plan 2025-2029 UEMOA, including your effective participation in the Dakar Round Table. We are also seeking your support for the mobilization of other technical and financial partners involved in the areas of action of AMP-UEMOA, as well as your contribution to consolidate the technical document for mobilizing resources for the financing of the strategic plan. We are convinced that the ADB, as a leading institution working for the development of the African continent, has not only the necessary technical expertise, but also the resources to support the AMP-UEMOA and make this impacting project a reality in the WAEMU area and beyond, for a more stable and more prosperous African continent.”
