Le jeudi 3 avril dernier, la plateforme sud-africaine digital payment company, Peach Payments, has started the process of buying the Senegalese payment company PayDunya.

After extensions in Kenya in 2018, Mauritius in 2021 and Eswatini in 2024, the operation will mark the first establishment of Peach Payments in French-speaking Africa. The South African company will thus extend its services to traders who operate regionally and internationally. PayDunya is active in six UEMOA countries such as Côte d'Ivoire, Benin, Burkina Faso, Togo, Mali and Senegal. It offers online payment services and the collection and distribution of bulk payments and employs over 40 people, serves 4000 customers and processes 70,000 daily transactions. With this acquisition, Peach Payments is targeting a market of over 450 million people. The two companies intend to combine their expertise to offer digital payment services in 12 countries.
