Un compte rendu du gouvernement béninois annonce que le Beninese Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Olushegun Adjadi Bakari, and his Slovenian counterpart Tanja Fajon, visiting Cotonou, have agreed to strengthen bilateral cooperation between Benin and Slovenia.

A memorandum of understanding was signed between the two heads of diplomacy on political and diplomatic consultations between the two countries, in order to “further strengthen bilateral relations by establishing a mechanism for political consultations”. The positive development of relations between the EU and Benin was praised by Tanja Fajon, on behalf of the High Representative of the European Union (EU) for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy
