The Regional Agricultural Fair is scheduled from Monday 7 to Sunday 13 April 2025. This is an initiative of the diocesan management of Caritas Senegal in Tambacounda. According to Father Bertin Sagna, diocesan director of Caritas Senegal in Tambacounda, this meeting aims to promote the marketing of agricultural equipment and products, the exchange of experiences and best practices, as well as the sharing of knowledge and know-how in agriculture. According to the latter, the a fair is considered a vehicle for transforming agriculture into an engine of economic growth, with the theme: “agriculture, a lever to limit irregular migration”. The governor of Tambacounda, Guedj Diouf, for his part, said that this fair is a reminder that land is a treasure with which young people in this region can feed their loved ones and build a “resilient” economy. This fair for the exhibition and marketing of agricultural equipment and products is “a modest contribution” by the diocesan management of Caritas Senegal to the government's policy to make agriculture “a lever for economic growth”, said Father Bertin Sagna
