Maurice became the first country in Africa to sign a Country Partnership Framework (CPF) with the International Solar Alliance (ASI). It is the fourth country in the world to conclude such an agreement, after Bangladesh, Bhutan and Cuba. This partnership aims to structure cooperation between ASI and Mauritius around solar energy projects, in line with the country's national priorities. This is according to an article published on India's News on Air website, News on Air, on Friday 11 April.

With an initial duration of three years, the agreement defines the modalities of collaboration between ISA and the Mauritian government through technical, regulatory and institutional support. It will be followed by the development of a country partnership strategy (CPS), based on the needs of the country and aligned with its national priorities

The framework also includes the establishment of a solar technology resource center (STAR-C). Target areas include floating solar, rooftop installations, solar irrigation systems, and solar applied to green hydrogen.
