Negotiations are open with Standard Chartered Bank of London and Exim Bank of China to provide loans, which will be complemented by financial participation from the Cameroonian State. The financial envelope of 1,072 billion FCFA including VAT sought will cover the construction of 141 km of main highway and nearly 40 km of connection ramps, according to official estimates. The Ministry of Public Works indicates that it expects, by next June, the Prime Minister to sign the compensation decree for the first 32 kilometers of the route.
