The Burkinabe insurance company aims to diversify its offer and broaden its range of life insurance products in order to better meet the needs of a constantly evolving market. Its newly launched takaful insurance is in line with the principles of Islamic finance, and aims to offer an alternative to conventional insurance products, by adopting a participatory and solidarity management method.
According to sharia principles, takaful insurance is based on collective risk management, where participants contribute to a common fund.A en croire Clément Sandwidi, director of Coris Assurances Vie Burkina, “The mission of this new Coris window is to offer a complete range of insurance products that essentially comply with to a more participative, more united management method and guaranteeing respect for the ethical values dear to its customers. It is a tailor-made offer that is accessible, simplified and addressed to any natural or legal person looking for a relevant alternative to conventional insurance products.”
It should be noted that takaful insurance is part of a financial inclusion process, and thus meets the growing demand for alternatives to traditional insurance products.
The aim is also to attract customers who previously felt excluded from conventional insurance.
