Le lancement du chapitre national by MADE Alliance: Africa took place in Kenya. It was announced by the African Development Bank and Mastercard.

The Kenyan chapter held its first meeting on the sidelines of the conference “Increasing Finance for Smallholder Farmers in Africa co-organized by the African Development Bank and the Pan African Farmers' Organization” conference. The first meeting brought together members of MADE Alliance: Africa, agriculture ministers from Eswatini, Liberia, Nigeria, Nigeria, Nigeria, Nigeria, Nigeria, Madagascar and Sierra Leone. The initiative aims to integrate three million farmers into the digital economy in Kenya, Tanzania and Nigeria through the Mastercard Community Pass platform. This digital identification system connects farmers with buyers, input suppliers, and financial institutions, improving their access to essential agricultural services

MADE Alliance: Africa aims to mobilize public and private sector resources in order to provide digital access to essential services to 100 million businesses and individuals across Africa over the next decade. The main goals of the initiative are to facilitate business transactions, improve access to affordable financial services, provide high-speed Internet access, enable catalytic financing, and take advantage of government initiatives to digitally register farmers in order to improve agricultural productivity

The initiative also aims to help farmers access finance more easily, improve their productivity and increase their incomes, as well as those of agro-industrial businesses. It will initially focus on agriculture and women's economic empowerment
